Creating an Account

The recommended way for anyone to create an account with us is by simply using one of the social links connection. If you used one of the social links to login into your account, you would need to use the same login later on also. (We have sadly not been able to give connect thru Google and Facebook -- they have too many hoops to jump for small developers like us) Using your existing social links is very private with nothing from your social accounts being leaked to us -- other than your username and/or email. However those organization behind social links may do some data-analytics on you when you login using their links. Simple reason: You are their product!

What if you want to set a username and email yourself? Yes, you can register that way too. Instead of using the social links, you can set a username and email address for your account. Do this if you are worried about how the organizations behind your social links use your activity. Our process of registering your email address will NOT send any email to you. Instead, you would need to send a blank email from the email address you had entered with a special message as the SUBJECT of that email. (See later why we adopted this process*)

If you had indeed set such a username and email for your account; the very first time, our system will directly take you to your dashboard. You may wonder, where your password has gone, because we will not send anything to you. The reason for this unusual method of registering is simple: We want you to get to work as soon as possible.

But since you do not know your own password; the next time you want to return back to your account you would need to reset your password. Click on the reset link in the Login form and follow instructions.

NOTE that if you later used a social link to access your account, and if that social account had the same email address as the one you had used earlier; the account would be merged into one.

*Why do we have an unusual registration process? You may be wondering why we used this unusual registration process. Firstly, we want to have only serious people to take an account with us. In many places, people register an account and then do not verify the account. This results in unnecessary clutter in our database, extra to-and-fro emailing and the developer gets the wrong idea about how many people really registered -- when, in fact, some of them are not serious about following up on their registrations. Many websites use a conventional registration process to harvest the email address. Then they follow-up with emails like: "We miss you" and other cringy stuff. We really believe that email marketing of that kind is not only not dignified but it is really not that effective either. We do only the bare minimum of emailing. If you really like what we are offering, please take an account with us. We are sure you would not join a service just because of its cloying/cringy follow-up emails.

This does not mean that we are not listening. We listen very closely -- but we don't really like doing "in-your-face" kind of grabbing your attention.
