Making a Flaunt File

The Flaunt File create/edit dialog is quite powerful. It can only be used only after the metadata of the said flaunt file was previously created. So the first step towards making a Flaunt File has to be done from your dashboard.
Let's understand various parts of this dialog starting from the top and moving down till the last button.
IMPORTANT, CRITICAL POINT!
Before you submit the data (PDF and/or audio track files) please ensure that they are within the current limits of your Flaunt File. If not, even the earlier data you had uploaded may get deleted! The current limits of your Flaunt File are clearly announced at the top of the make page. Also, make sure you always have a local copy of whatever you are uploading.
The Secret Firstly, you have to provide the secret for the Flaunt File you are creating or editing. This secret is automatically created when the author creates the metadata for the Flaunt File.
Why? We give an editing secret for each file separately from the main account holder's password because in some situations, the author of the Flaunt File may delegate the actual making/editing process to someone else. For e.g. The author may be good at creating the PDF file of the Flaunt File, and someone else is good for the audio narrations. In such case, the author can pass on the "secret" of the Flaunt File to the other person. It gives you maximum flexibility.
Checkbox to start afresh Next in the dialog is a checkbox. If you check that then it is as if you are starting the Flaunt File from scratch. This is useful if you want to clear up all the stuff you had earlier and start all over again. Of course, it has no effect if you are freshly creating a new flaunt file.
The PDF File After that, you would need to select a PDF file. Only one PDF file up to a maximum of 150 pages are currently allowed. We have given separate instructions on how to create the PDF File.
The sound files The rest of the dialog is useful ONLY when you want to upload audio files for each of the pages. When uploading audio files, please note the following
You have to mention the sequence of page numbers separated by commas. These necessarily have to be numbers. The Flaunt File starts with page 1 (and not zero)
You have to make sure you drag and drop audio files in the same sequence as you had mentioned in the "Sequence of page numbers ..."
Audio files has to be either *.opus, *.mp3 or *.webm Internet gurus say that opus files are generally recommended for speech.
Efficiency Tip: As a flaunt file can get large (with its PDF and also its audio files); trying to upload all together can take some amount of time. In such a case, you can upload audio files one set at a time. Just keep the web-page for "make" open, and keep submitting each set of files individually. Of course, in such a case, you should not upload the PDF file again and again (why? because you would have uploaded it in the first operation)
You cannot "merge" two audio files together. For e.g. If you want to have some background music along with the audio narration for a particular page, you cannot upload two audio files for the same page. Our system will simply overwrite any audio file that exists for the same page. If you want to merge two audio files, do it beforehand (i.e. mix the audio together and create one sound file) This is explained in one of the appendices.
